This simulation is intended to help you learn to add vectors graphically. The operation is quite simple: new vectors are drawn in the small white area on the left hand side by depressing the mouse button at the tail of the vector and moving the mouse to the desired location for the tip of the vector. When the mouse button is released, a line representing the vector is drawn in the small box, and the vector is drawn in the large box on the right side in blue. The magnitude and direction of the vector are shown in the two boxes in blue. When you wish to see the sum of your vectors, click the "Sum" button, and the sum vector will be drawn from the tail of the first vector to the tip of the last vector in red. The magnitude and direction of the sum will be shown in red. At any time, you can erase the screen and start over by pressing the "Clr" button.
Note: depending on the browser and version, you may see a LARGE Number of digits displayed in the magnitude and direction. Please ignore all digits smaller than the tenths.
