You should be able to state all three of Newton's laws and the law of gravity.
You should be able to give everyday examples which illustrate each of Newton's laws of
motion.
Given any two of force, mass, and acceleration, you should be able to find the other
one.
You should be able to calculate the gravitational force between two objects. (But you
don't need to memorize G.)
You should be able to explain why motion in a circle at constant speed is accelerated
motion. You should know what direction this acceleration is in and what properties
of the motion determine the size of the force needed to produce this acceleration.
You should be able to explain the difference between mass and weight.
You should be able to explain what we mean when we say the Moon is falling around the
Earth.
You should be to define:
speed
velocity
acceleration
momentum
