PHY 121 Week 3

  Main Objectives:
Be able to calculate efficiencies for various energy processes.
Be able to briefly discuss several kinds of energy other than those included as part of mechanical energy

 
Monday Martin Luther King holiday - No class
Wednesday Class will meet in Room 322 Mosler (a computer classroom).   One of the librarians will be helping you with research skills that you wil need for your project for this course.

Outside of class: Continue to work on Ch. 2 homework already assigned.
Friday Complete discussion of various types of energy and energy conversions.   Briefly discuss nature of first exam.   You should be prepared to ask questions about any of the Chapter 2 homework that you have not understood.

Outside of class: Do questions 38, 42, 43.  Begin review for exam.
