bulletUnderstand history graphs and snapshot graphs for waves
bulletBe able to explain why the intensity of a spherical traveling wave decreases as 1/(distance from source)2
Tuesday Finish up anything left over from Friday.  Begin discussion of waves.  Small group exercises on history and snapshot graphs

Outside of class:  Finish your preparation for Thursday's exam.

Thursday Exam IV on Chapters 12, 13, 14 and the beginning of Ch. 25.

Outside of class:  Read the overview on pages 609-610 and Ch. 20 Sec. 1-4. Complete workbook exercises 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 18, 19, 22, and 23.  You may not get all these done tonight, but, if not,continue to work on them later.

Friday Lecture on the mathematical description of traveling waves

Outside of class:  Read Ch. 20 Sec 5-7.   Complete workbook exercises 27, 31, and 33.   Complete Ch. 20 homework problems 2, 4, 12, 15, 16, 42, 43 and 46 for Tuesday.
