Week 11
| |
Main Objectives:
- Be able to discuss magnetic forces and fields qualitatively. This includes effects
of magnetic poles on one another and on non-magnetized objects, magnetic monopoles,
magnetic field lines, the Earth's magnetic field, magnetic domains, and permeability.
- Be able to distinguish between diamagnetic, paramagnetic, and ferromagnetic materials.
- Be able to use the law of Biot-Savart to find the magnetic fields of constant currents
- Be able to use Ampere's Law to determine magnetic fields.
