Main Objectives for Week:
- Understand the difference between the meaning of "influence" and
"determine" in experimental science
- Continue to think about control of variables
- Develop operational definitions of "sink" and "float"
- Explore the variables that influence the sinking and floating of objects
- Discover what determines whether an object will sink or float in a given liquid
- Learn to make and interpret graphs of data

Complete sections 11.2, 11.3, 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, and 13.4. Outside
of class: Complete homework problem 11.2 to be turned in on Wednesday. If you
are behind due to absences, work on getting caught up. |

Quiz 3 on Sections 7, 8, and 9. We will do most of sections
12.1, 12.2, 12.4, 12.6, and 12.8 as a large group. Outside of
class: Complete sections 12.3, 12.5, 12.9, and 12.10 in your notebook. |
